A trip diary of our 2021 Morocco ‘The Trilobite’s Sahara Kingdom’ tour. A 10-day circular trip from Marrakech taking in the dramatic landscapes of the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert.
We returned to Scotland in June 2021 to once again explore its world class geology. Our small group tour saw the first identified thrust fault, dinosaur footprints, the first recognised unconformity, spectacular basalt columns, and much, much more!
This is the blog of our ‘Morocco: The Trilobite’s Sahara Kingdom’ tour, which we completed in mid-November 2019. Morocco is an exceptional geological destination, as the desert conditions create large areas of rock exposure where fossils occur in abundance. It is world-famous for its trilobite and dinosaur fauna.
This is the blog of our new ‘Famous Fossil Sites and the Munich Show’ tour in Germany, which we lead for the first time in October 2019. Germany is home to some of the world’s best fossil sites and the most recently active volcanoes in Central Europe.
