From Jurassic fossils on the Dorset coast to trilobites in Wales, coal mines in South Wales and the birthplace of modern geology in Shropshire, this tour showcased the extraordinary geodiversity of Britain. On home ground once again, we took a group of geology enthusiasts on a tour of England & Wales. In 11 full touring days, we visited a wide variety of sites from almost all of the geologic time periods. Here are some of the best photos from the trip.
In April 2022, we ran our England & Wales trip for the first time. This journey through the geologic timescale took us from the Jurassic Coast, to the Brecon Beacons, up to Snowdonia and over to Shropshire.
