Morocco 2022 – a photo diary

In November 2022, we took a group of intrepid travellers on our “Trilobite’s Sahara Kingdom” geological tour of Morocco. Our 10-day trip across the Atlas mountains to the Sahara Desert was not only a trilobite extravaganza but also took in a dinosaur discovery site, mineral mines and various historic sites. In April 2022, we ran our England & Wales trip for the first time. This journey through the geologic timescale took us from the Jurassic Coast, to the Brecon Beacons, up to Snowdonia and over to Shropshire. This is the blog of our ‘Morocco: The Trilobite’s Sahara Kingdom’ tour, which we completed in mid-November 2019. Morocco is an exceptional geological destination, as the desert conditions create large areas of rock exposure where fossils occur in abundance. It is world-famous for its trilobite and dinosaur fauna.
