This journey through the geologic timescale took us from the Jurassic Coast, to the Brecon Beacons, up to Snowdonia and over to Shropshire. A trip diary from our geological journey through Oman. In March 2022, seven intrepid geo-travellers joined us to explore the geological marvels this wonderful country has to offer.
We returned to Oman in December 2021 and embarked on another fantastic trip through this geological wonderland. The trip explored the world’s best ophiolite, traversed mountains, journeyed into the desert and much, much more!
We returned to Iceland in September 2021 to once again explore its world class geology. Our small group tour visited many of Iceland’s fantastic geosites, but the highlight has to have been the currently erupting Fagradalsfjall volcano – what a treat!
In March 2020 we returned to Oman, once again, to visit the country’s geological gems. Focusing primarily on the north of the country, the tour was led by GeoWorld Travel’s Director, James Cresswell, with support from local company, Golden Highlands.
