Our 2026 England & Wales tour was an epic 13 day journey through almost the entire geological timescale. From Jurassic fossils on the Dorset coast to trilobites in Wales, coal mines in South Wales and the birthplace of modern geology in Shropshire, this tour showcased the extraordinary geodiversity of Britain. On home ground once again, we took a group of geology enthusiasts on a tour of England & Wales. In 11 full touring days, we visited a wide variety of sites from almost all of the geologic time periods. Here are some of the best photos from the trip.
We recently completed our 2023 England and Wales tour which took our guests through the complete geological timescale! We saw type areas of many geological time periods and outcrops from all geological time periods! These are our favourite photos with captions explaining what we saw.
In April 2022, we ran our England & Wales trip for the first time. This journey through the geologic timescale took us from the Jurassic Coast, to the Brecon Beacons, up to Snowdonia and over to Shropshire. In early July 2019 we completed the Wales portion of our ‘England and Wales’ tour as a private tour for two guests who then joined us on our Scotland tour that followed a few days later.
