Staring in Naples and making our way down to Sicily we visited many wonderful volcanic sites and world-class archaeological remains. Mid-June 2024 saw the 10th running of our ever-popular Scotland trip. We had a great time exploring some wonderful, world-class geological sites, but this post focuses on the wildlife we saw – and includes a bonus geology video at the end! Once again, we enjoyed a geological tour of the Canary Islands in the winter sun! The tour started on Tenerife, with time also spent on La Gomera and La Palma. There were many highlights, but standing on the summit of Mount Teide is hard to beat! This is a day-by-day account of our trip.
Our first tour of 2024 took us back to Oman. Our group enjoyed an awe-inspiring adventure through the country’s best geological sites. From ophiolite to sheath folds and from pillow basalts to the Moho, the journey was rich with geological wonders. A fantastic time was had by all!
