Ross Blog starts here

Hello everyone.

I am at Heathrow airport, London en-route from my home in Wales to Invercargill, New Zealand, to join the Ross Sea Antarctic Odyssey:

My aim is to keep this blog updated throughout the expedition letting you know what we are seeing and doing. There will be fascinating geology, glaciology and wildlife to be seen along our way. I am expecting the highlight for me to be Mount Erebus.

I will be updating the blog via email through a satellite phone so if you want to communicate with me about the blog please send a message via:

and it will be forwarded to me.

It is all very exciting but there is a mammoth 31 hour flight to get through first!

See you on the other side,

James @geoworldtravel
