We had a great time exploring some wonderful, world-class geological sites, but this post focuses on the wildlife we saw – and includes a bonus geology video at the end! Scotland May 2022: a photo diary
A selection of the best photos from our May 2022 Scotland trip. We were treated to some wonderful geological highlights, including Siccar Point, the Ardnmurchan Volcano and the iconic Fingal’s Cave.
Scotland 2021
We returned to Scotland in June 2021 to once again explore its world class geology. Our small group tour saw the first identified thrust fault, dinosaur footprints, the first recognised unconformity, spectacular basalt columns, and much, much more!
Scotland 2019
In July 2019 we led our Geology of Scotland tour for the fourth time. Scotland has incredibly diverse geology – it was here that the enormity of geological time was first envisaged, the first attempts to measure the mass of the Earth were made, Thrust Faults were discovered and middle Jurassic Dinosaurs roamed.
