Canary Islands 2023: Volcanic island hopping

We recently returned to the Canary Islands to explore the geological highlights of Tenerife, La Gomera and La Palma. These are our forty favourite photos from the trip.

Canary Islands 2022

We returned to the Canary Islands in January 2022 to lead our geological tour of these wonderful volcanic islands. As well as the usual geological features we see, this year, we were also able to view the impact of the recent volcanic eruption on La Palma and to see the new lava on the island.

Iceland 2021

We returned to Iceland in September 2021 to once again explore its world class geology. Our small group tour visited many of Iceland’s fantastic geosites, but the highlight has to have been the currently erupting Fagradalsfjall volcano – what a treat!
