The flight from London to Buenos Aries was 14 hours it is the longest scheduled flight that British Airways offers. It was pleasant enough considering, I read up about #Tristan #St Helena #Ascension and #Cape Verde. Did you know that even though all of theses islands lie near the #MidAtlanticRidge the volcanism is actually due to #hotspots rather than the ridge itself?

It is a 5 hour wait until I fly to #Ushuaia the world’s most southern city if you count nearby Puerto Williams in Chile as a mere town.
Tonight will be spent in a hotel and I will board my ship the Plancius tomorrow.
